This simple template helps you keep track of any employee absences and even informs you why they couldn’t be at work that day, whether they were sick, on vacation, or just took a personal day, you’ll always be in the know.

How to Use the Employee Absence Schedule

After downloading the schedule and clicking on the file, you will be able to start organizing your work life. The easy-to-use design is formatted to change anything by clicking on any piece of information and writing over it with your unique work structure. You can even keep everything the same and add in your employee’s names to get stated right away, it’s as simple as that!
Start by adding your employee’s names, located in the left-hand side of the template. Once you have that information, you can clear out the exampled absences, highlighted throughout the week. They are color-coordinated and have an alphabetical letter, and both are associated to the meaning of the absence.

At any point, you can customize the year, the number of employees, the legend, or the number of work days, to better fit your schedule. At the bottom of the template, there are multiple tabs listing all 12 months, so you can keep track of absences throughout the year.

When you have all the information entered, simply click the “File” tab in the top left corner, and select the “Print” option, to have the Employee Absence Schedule sent to your printer, or choose the “Save As” option to store the schedule on your computer and keep everything digital.
