Earnings per share (EPS) is a company profit’s allocation for outstanding share of common stock. This EPS value is usually being used as an indicator of the health of a company. Basic earnings per share are calculated by dividing the profit for the period attributable to equity shareholders of the Parent Company by the average number of ordinary shares in issue during the year.
