How to Use the Children’s Academic Calendar
In the top left-hand corner of the page, you’ll see a box and a list of items. Next to the titles, write the school’s name, the child’s grade, and finally the name of the child’s teacher.
To the right of the information box, there is a set of fun stickers that will come in handy later on. Below the top set of boxes, you will enter the current month and year.
Now, it’s time to get started with the actual scheduling. Every day of the week is listed at the top, and each boxed is numbered with a day of the month. In each box, you will write a description of what your child’ will be doing, either for school or at home.
The fun stickers mentioned above will be placed in the box of a day, to indicate that’s what your child will be doing. You can change both the stickers and the meaning to anything you’d like. Simply right-click on the image you want to change and select “Change Picture” to choose another image from your computer. The “Clip Art” section in the Insert tab also has some fun images to replace the stock photos.
Once you have finished planning out the month, press “File” then “Print” at the top of your screen. Be sure to teach your child how to use the calendar as you go.
